Spay/Neuter Assistance Program

Maricopa County Animal Care & Control’s (MCACC) Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) provides free spay/neuter surgeries for your dog(s) and cat(s) at participating veterinary clinics throughout the valley. The program is funded solely by donations and supported by Friends of Animal Care & Control.

 

**Due to unprecedented demand for free spay and neuter services, Friends is currently unable to distribute vouchers until further notice.  Please visit www.pets.maricopa.gov for information on when and where vouchers will be available at the shelters and in the community.  At this time, Friends will not be keeping a waiting list.

 

Question: How do I obtain a voucher?

Answer: Vouchers can be obtained several different ways. 

 

1) Vouchers are delivered to the locations listed below at the beginning of each month. Vouchers are limited in number and issued on a first come, first serve basis.

• Maricopa County Animal Shelter West

  2500 S. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ (602)506-7387

• Maricopa County Animal Shelter East

   2630 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Mesa, AZ (602)506-7387

 

2) Pick up a voucher at one of MCACC’s Uno Por Uno events.
Dates for these events can be found on the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control Calendar.

 

     3) Email Friends of Animal Care & Control, and give your name and physical address.

Question: What do I do once I receive my voucher?

Answer: Complete your voucher (one per pet).  Then review the list of participating vet clinics included with the voucher and call your preferred clinic to schedule an appointment.  Take your happy pet to their appointment which helps save lives!

  

Question: How long do I have to redeem my voucher?

Answer: Vouchers will expire on March 31, 2015.
